Teacher Background: Born and raised in Southern California, Mrs. Hornacek was exposed to the joy of foreign languages by her German grandfather.  After double majoring in French and German at California Lutheran College, she completed her Master's Degree in French at UCLA, specializing in literature of the 18th, 19th and 20th centuries.  She began her teaching career at Our Lady of Corvallis High School in Studio City in 1979.  Since then she has taught in both public and private schools in Colorado and California, and is now in her twelfth year at Aliso Niguel High School.
